Losing weight and removing stubborn belly fat around the holidays can be very challenging. Work potlucks, chocolate, holiday cookie tins, and Christmas feasts make it nearly impossible to stay or get into shape around this time of year.
However, you can limit or even reverse the damage by following some or all of the tips below!
1. Weight train before a holiday meal

A great tip for the holidays is to use intermittent fasting. If you plan your holiday meals around your fasting periods, you can keep off the holiday bulge and potentially still even lose weight.
The following fasting and eating periods that work best for me around the holidays are as follows:
Eating period: 2pm-8pm
Fasting period 8pm-2pm
Feel free to adjust to whatever works around your schedule. Remember the key is to keep yourself at a caloric deficit and a fat-burning state and always get an ok from your doctor before starting.
3. Use Cheat Meals
As long as you are eating healthy throughout most of the week, Using a cheat meal is a great way to help you continue to lose weight, and also help you keep your sanity.
Keep it to a cheat “meal”, and not a cheat “day” as this will help keep you on track and limit the amount of caloric damage done.
4. Don’t feel guilty
We are meant to have fun and enjoy our lives. The holidays can be a wonderful time where we get to spend time with family and friends while enjoying delicious food and drinks.
