5 Steps to Lose 5 to 10 Pounds in A Week Naturally
Losing weight can be a lot simpler than most dieters are making it out to be. With these five simple steps, it is possible for you to lose 5 to 10 pounds in a week naturally.
1. Focus on your why
Before starting any weight loss journey, you really should be focusing on why you want to lose weight. This may seem a bit redundant, so it can be quite enlightening when you take the time to think about it.
Are you wanting to get into better shape to become more physically attractive?
How about the reduced health risks of maintaining a healthy weight?
Do you want to live longer?
There are endless reasons why you want to lose weight, but the key is to focus on a positive mindset.
If you are focusing on not wanting to be fat, then we think you could focus in a more positive way which will build momentum in your weight loss journey.
A positive mindset is the key to your success.
2. Stop before you are full
This takes a little bit more willpower, but it will get easier with time as you begin to focus on how your body feels when you’re eating a meal. In America, it is a common mindset that we should not waste food.
I recall my father stating I needed to “eat every bean and pea on my plate”.
However, this can be an issue, especially when dining out because portion sizes are massive.
Stop just short of being full, and it will help you lose weight faster.
3. Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting is a great tool to help you lose 5 to 10 pounds a week naturally.
When your body is in a fasted state, it has no choice but to burn its own body fat as fuel. To stay in a fasted state, you can only have coffee, tea, and water.
We recommend a 16-hour fast, and an 8-hour feeding window. Since your body will be asleep for a good portion of the fasting window, it is much easier on the mind.
For all intents and purposes, you are skipping breakfast.
Another side benefit I have noticed is that because I have not eaten for 16 hours, my stomach has shrunk. Because of this when I do break my fast, I’m not able to eat as much as I was when I was eating 4 to 6 meals a day.
4. Do 30 minutes of cardio in the morning before you eat
Tying into intermittent fasting, we recommend doing a 30-minute session of cardio in the morning before you eat.
And it does make sense to not eat anything before you do your cardio if you think about it logically.
If your body has fuel in its stomach, it will choose to use that before its own stored body fat, in turn helping you lose weight.
I have been doing this for years and have at excellent success with it.
5. Get a plan
Human beings can accomplish some amazing things when they put their minds to it. However, most people fall short due to a lack of planning. When you put a plan in place, it sets you up better for success than just winging it.
