5 Home Workout Accessories for Men to Build Muscle and Burn Fat
As a man, I always look for great ways to get into better shape by working out at home. Going to the gym is great due to the equipment they have. However, there is something satisfying about waking up, getting my workout in at home, and starting my day right. With these 5 Home Workout Accessories, you can do exactly that, without spending an arm and a leg. Here are my 5 Home Workout Accessories for Men to Build Muscle and Burn Fat.
Jump Rope

Jumping rope is a cheap and easy weight to get in shape, specifically for men. It burns a ton of calories, helps build lean muscle mass, and is very inexpensive, even for a higher-end jump rope.
I can burn up to 500 calories in a 30-minute jump rope session, but it takes some time to build up there. Remember to start out slowly if you’re a beginner.
I recommend a weighted jump rope as it will help you burn more calories and build muscle due to the added resistance. Cross Rope is a great option that I use.

Free Weights and a Bench

There are many different exercises you can do with a simple set of free weights and a solid bench. Bench Press, arm rows, shoulder press, standing dumbbell squats, shoulder shrugs, bicep curls, and tricep extensions are all exercises I use for my free weight and bench combo.
You can even use the bench itself to do bodyweight and abdominal exercises.
We think Bowflex adjustable dumbbells combined with a Marcy bench are a great combo. It is the one I use for great results.

Pull Up Bar
Pull-ups are one of the best exercises specifically for men to work their back, chest, biceps, triceps, and abs. These are the muscles that men focus on more, so having a pull-up bar that you can easily put between your door is an excellent workout accessory that won’t break the bank.
There are multiple styles of pull-up bars with multiple grip adjustments or a simple flat bar solution.
We like the multiple grip models as is can add variety to your workouts. You can even use it to do push-ups and dips!
We use the iron bar brand and it is been a solid pull-up bar for the past 5 years that I have had it. You can check current prices on Amazon here.
Stationary Bike
As much as I love jumping rope, it may not be the best exercise for some people. However, a stationary bike can be a lower-impact alternative to jumping rope or running.
A stationary bike is an excellent workout that can help get you into great shape and constantly ranks on our 5 Home Workout Accessories for Men to Build Muscle and Burn Fat.
Luckily, a good-quality stationary bike is not as expensive as it once was.
We use the Marcy Recumbent Exercise Bike. You can check current prices on Amazon here.
Fitness watch
Whether you use something like Fitbit or even an apple watch, a fitness watch is a great way to help you track calories burned, steps walked, heart rate, and other health factors.
We recommend Fitbit. You can check current prices on Amazon here
Don’t forget about nutrition
If you’re focusing on either building muscle mass or burning fat, all the exercise in the world won’t make a difference if you don’t eat high-quality foods in a restricted caloric deficit.
The key to change is consistency, patience, and following healthy nutrition combined with daily exercise.
Remember to always consult your physician before starting any diet or exercise program.
