5 helpful Tips to Reduce Belly Bloat
Working as a Nutritionist for the past 12 years, I get one question repeatedly. How do I reduce belly bloat? Many factors can cause belly bloat, but here are 5 helpful tips to reduce belly bloat.
Limit Dairy Consumption

Even if you do not have any lactose intolerance, limiting your dairy consumption can help reduce belly bloat.
Studies show that milk and milk products are one of the most gas-producing foods that humans can consume. If you reduce these foods, it will decrease bloating, especially around the midsection.
If you do want milk, I recommend having non-sweetened almond milk. It has a nutty flavor and much fewer carbs than traditional cow’s milk.
Use a Digestive Enzyme
Tying into lactose intolerance, so many people have issues because our bodies lack the enzymes to break down the lactose sugar in milk.
This also applies to many other foods. As our bodies get older, it does not produce as many enzymes as they used.
Do you remember when you were younger and could eat whatever you want with little consequence? It is our body’s lack of enzymes for this.
It also applies to alcohol consumption.
In my early 20s, I could drink several alcoholic beverages and have no hangover the next morning. Give me more than three now, and I’ll pray to the porcelain Gods.
We have seen excellent results using a broad-spectrum digestive enzyme. We recommend using All Max Nutrition’s Full Spectrum Digestive Enzyme.

Limit Carbohydrate Consumption

With many people sensitive to gluten, eliminating starchy carbohydrates will help reduce belly bloat quickly. Also, a side benefit of limiting carbohydrates is that your body will burn more fat. Carbs are your body’s main source of fuel.
When your body has no carbs to burn, it will use its stored body fat.
Do a Colon Cleanse
I know, I know, talking about poo is a very taboo subject. But let’s get real with some science here. Did you know the average person carries more than 5 lbs of fecal matter in their colon? Yuck!
By doing a colon cleanse, you will be able to clear out some of the older waste that sticks to the inside of the intestines.
We like Solaray Probiotic Colon because it is not as intense as another colon cleanses. You do not need to be near a toilet all day with this supplement!
We do a Colon Cleanse 1-2 times a year and have noticed great results. My wife and I feel lighter, the bloat in our belly gets reduced significantly, and we lose a few pounds in the process.
We used a product called Solaray Probiotic Colon formula when we do our cleanse. You can check current prices on My Supplement Store’s website here.
Remember to always consult your physician before starting any new supplements.
Lose Weight
While these tips will help reduce belly bloat, the most effective way to achieve this goal is to burn body fat.
I know it seems obvious, but losing weight is one of the best ways to eliminate belly bloat. Since we store much of our body fat around our belly, reducing our weight will also reduce our bellies.
