5 Fat Burning Smoothies for Health and Weight Loss
Smoothies are one of my favorite drinks to make in a blender. Not only do they taste amazing, but they have tons of nutrients to keep your body healthy. Just remember not to be like Jamba Juice and hold the sherbet. In this article, I want to talk about my 5 favorite fat burning smoothies for health and weight loss. Let’s head to the blender!
Adjust as needed
Remember these do not have to be set in stone. Sometimes I will add or remove certain items depending on what I have and my mood.
Also, you may change the number of ingredients depending on the number of people you’re serving.
Please feel free to do the same as long as you aren’t adding a scoop of ice cream or throwing a candy bar into the blender. Just keep it to healthy ingredients only, people! 🙂
The List: 5 Fat Burning Smoothies for Health and Weight Loss:
Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie
This is one of my favorites from when I was trying to get into great shape in my 20s. I would have something similar every day for breakfast.
- 2 bananas, broken into chunks and frozen
- 1 cup milk OR almond milk (a lactose-free option)
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 3 tablespoons creamy natural peanut butter butter
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
Tropical Dream Smoothie
This was recommended in college by my teacher and fitness/health guru Jay Robb. I’ve made a few adjustments, but the idea is the same.
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup frozen pineapple
- ¼ cup frozen strawberries
Blend and serve!
Berry Blast Smoothie
This is a refreshing smoothie that is perfect for a hot day. It is very refreshing and keeps you full until lunch
- 1 cup orange juice
- ½ cup frozen berry blend
- 1 medium banana
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
Blend and serve!
High Fiber Green Smoothie
This is a fully vegan smoothie that tastes amazing. Even though I am not vegan, I still make something like this to keep my body cleansed.
- 1 apple chopped
- 1 cup of fresh greens (spinach or kale)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup of frozen berries
- 1 scoop of vanilla vegan protein powder (optional)
Blend and serve!
Snickerdoodle Protein Smoothie
Taking inspiration from McDonald’s new McFlurry seasonal flavor, I decided to make this recipe to try to copy that flavor without breaking my diet. And I have to say, it’s pretty good!
- 1 scoop of Vanilla or Cinnamon roll flavor protein powder
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk or almond milk
- 1 cup of ice
Blend and serve!
