Should you try Fast Food Options for Weight Loss?
Let’s face it. We all sometimes forget to meal prep, and we need to get some healthy nutrition in our bodies when we are unprepared or on the go. That doesn’t mean we have to eat junk when going to a fast food restaurant.
Even thought these options are healthy, they still taste amazing! Losing weight and eating healthy does not have to be boring when you are smart about your approach. While preparing your own meals will always be better than eating out, here are some of the best fast food options for weight loss when you are in a pinch.
El Pollo Loco / Pollo Tropical
My wife and I love eating at El Pollo Loco! You may not have one in your area, but Pollo Tropical is a similar alternative in other states. They have amazing delicious and healthy grilled chicken, with rice, beans and other vegetables.
Stay away from the burritos and tacos though as they can be quite the calorie bomb. There are many healthy salads and bowls for under 500 calories that will keep you satisfied, while helping you lose weight
Our suggestion : Double Fajita Avocado Salad – Chicken- 440 Calories
Carl’s Jr / Hardees
The nice part about Carl’s Jr./ Hardees is that you can get any burger or chicken sandwich with a lettuce wrap. Make sure you stick to the burgers or grilled chicken when you are ordering.
Our suggestion :The 1/3 lb. Lettuce-Wrapped Thickburger 420 Calories
Whatever you do.. stay away from the Baconator! The Double Baconator has 980 calories! Woah!
Our suggestion: Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Side Garden Salad with Light Ranch : 435 Calories
I love McDonald’s! I feel like a kid when I go there(my dad used to take us when I was younger), but that doesn’t mean I can’t make a better choice now that I am an adult and still have that nostalgia. Stay away from the burgers and fried chicken options when ordering for best results. Be careful, because some of the “healthy” salads have more calories than a Big Mac!

In and Out Burger
This is for all of you West Coasters, In and Out is a staple of the California lifestyle. This place is always busy! And for good reason. It is cheap and delicious!
In and Out offers a lettuce-wrapped burger as well. They call it “protein style”. Hold off on the Animal Style fries and Sodas though.
